A Bridge to Animals

I think that what makes this piece so interesting is the varying shapes and sizes of the stone making up the bridge. However, while I do love this piece, I do think that something about it isn't right. I am not sure if its because there really isn't anything that stands out (with the light coloring of the bridge, trees, and ground, everything kind of merges together in one tone) or if its simply because the photo is too close to the bridge. Maybe it would look different if you could see more of the surrounding environment and the full scale of the bridge? The bleakness of this image might be less present if you did so--or maybe it might make it worse? O.o I am not sure.
